Adult Flu Vaccination
Clinic to be held on Saturday 13 October 2018 – 0900 to 1300 hours
Flu vaccination is recommended for the following patients:-
Patients aged 65 and over
Pregnant women (at any stage of pregnancy)
Patients who are employed as a carer in a residential or nursing home
Patients aged 6m – 64 years at risk including the following conditions:-
Asthma (if you are using a steroid inhaler as well as Ventolin or Salbutamol)
Chronic Respiratory Disease
Chronic Heart Disease
Chronic Liver Disease
Chronic Kidney Disease
Chronic Neurological Disease
Patients with a low immunity
Morbid Obesity (adults with a BMI more than or equal to 40kg/m2)

Child Flu Vaccination
Children aged 2 and 3 on 31 August 2018 (date of birth 1/9/2014 to 31/8/2016) are being offered routine vaccination for flu this year. The vaccination is given in the form of a nasal spray and separate clinic times for children will be available from October onwards. Please contact the surgery to make an appointment for your child if you would like them to be vaccinated.
Children aged 4-9 years will be vaccinated at school.
