Dr Ed Halsey

Male

Senior Partner, BM, MRCP, DRCOG, MRCGP

Qualified in 1999 from Southampton spending some time in general medicine before specialising in general practice, starting as a partner in Mere in 2005. Outside work, he remains involved with Scouting; having mountain leader qualifications he is always seeking wild places to camp. At weekends he plays hockey with his teenage children, apologising for being stiff and bruised on Monday mornings. His wife, Jo, is a sexual health doctor at Salisbury.

Dr Tim King

Male

GP Partner, BM, BCh (Oxon.), MA (Cantab.), MRCS, MRCGP 

Qualified from Oxford in 2004 before several years in surgical training. Worked abroad as an orthopaedic registrar before completing his training in general practice.  Latterly he has worked in hospital posts in Salisbury District Hospital before joining Mere Surgery.  His special interests include orthopaedics, sports medicine and minor operations.  He carries out some procedures such as carpal tunnel decompressions and vasectomies in Salisbury on a Friday. Two young children and a bit of golf keep him entertained away from the surgery!

Dr Stuart Gallagher

Male

GP Partner MBBS MRCGP

Qualified in 2017 from Norwich Medical School, before completing his training in General Practice in Wessex. Stuart joined the practice in 2021 as a Registrar and then returned as a Partner in August 2023. He has one child and enjoys exploring the Dorset coastline with his wife and Black Labrador, Frank. When not at work he is a keen sportsman; playing golf, running or reminiscing about his University rugby days.

Dr Isabel Andrews 

Female

GP salaried, MB, M.Chir (Cantab), MA, DCH, DRCOG, MRCGP

Qualified from Cambridge in 1998 and spent the next few years in various hospital posts in East Anglia. She joined the practice in 2001 as a registrar and has stayed here ever since, apart from breaks to have her three children. Her special interests are in women’s health (including HRT, the menopause and family planning) and child health and development. Outside work, she enjoys being involved in athletics coaching and loves exploring the outdoors.
